• Financial Information: Payment details for course registration.
• Training Records: In-car evaluation notes from your licensed instructor, progress reports, and certificate completion status.

2. Why We Collect This Data

We collect and use your personal information for the following purposes:

• To verify your identity and eligibility for driver training.
• To schedule lessons with a licensed instructor and communicate course updates.
• To issue training completion certificates if required.
• To comply with ICBC (Insurance Corporation of British Columbia) reporting requirements and the Motor Vehicle Act Regulations.
• To process payments for services rendered.

2.1 SMS Communications Consent

If you choose to opt in to SMS, you agree to receive automated lesson reminders and instructor updates from Pro1 Driving School. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out at any time.

SMS consent is voluntary and is not a condition of purchase or service. You may register for services without consenting to SMS.

3. Consent

By registering for our courses, you provide your implied consent for us to collect and use your data for the purposes listed above. We will obtain your express consent before using your information for any other purpose (such as marketing). You may withdraw your consent at any time, though doing so may prevent us from providing you with training services.

SMS consent is collected separately from general terms and privacy acceptance and applies only to the specific messaging program you opt into.

4. Disclosure to Third Parties

We do not sell or rent student data. We only disclose your information to:

• ICBC: To report course completions and verify licence status.
• Service Providers: Third-party tools used for scheduling or payment processing (e.g., Stripe, Square), provided they also comply with PIPA.
• Legal Authorities: When required by law.
• SMS Privacy: Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared, sold, or transferred to any third parties.
• CTIA Disclosure: All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

5. Data Retention and Security

Retention: Per BC provincial regulations, we are required to maintain certain student records (including training history) for a minimum of 7 years. Once the retention period expires, data is securely shredded or permanently deleted.

Security: We employ administrative, physical, and technical safeguards (such as encrypted servers and locked filing cabinets) to protect your data from unauthorized access or theft.

6. Your Rights (Access and Correction)
